Ocean Hour Clean Up

clean up

Ocean Hour is the world’s first international weekly cleanup, leveraging social media and technology to crowdsource cleanups around the globe on a weekly basis. Every Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., no matter where you are on this planet, the Mother Ocean community will head to local beaches, rivers, lakes, and waterways around the globe to clean up trash and debris.

Meet Amanda who started up Canada’s Ocean Clean Up Hour.

We are so fortunate to have Amanda here in the Okanagan. If you want to contact Amanda Lounsbury you can catch her on the Ocean Hour Canada Facebook page.

This is a wonderful way to help look after our little planet and have fun along the way and meet some really beautiful, inspiring people too.

We realize you can’t make it every Saturday, but with social media and our newfound ability to mobilize the masses, our impact is powerful even if only 10% of our fan base shows up on any given week. As our network continues to grow, our influence will thrive exponentially with substantial turnouts each week. Whether you can make it this week, next week, once a month, or once a year, we invite you to join us in this movement.

Its thanks to these beautiful souls that our children can run around in clean and healthy beach environments.

My first clean up at Rotary beach last week…
